Wellness Programs

CATCH Healthy Habits

CATCH Healthy Habits Logo
CATCH Healthy Habits offers wellness workshops for adults (50+) taught by volunteers (50+).  The program is offered in various locations in Louisville through a partnership between ElderServe and the OASIS Institute, a national education organization dedicated to enriching the lives of adults age 50+ through lifelong learning and service.

Adults in the program benefit in several ways. Research shows that volunteers have lower rates of depression and mortality and greater functional ability than those who do not volunteer. As they promote healthy habits for other adults and themselves, they also experience the rewards of meaningful community service.

Those interested in volunteering for the program should contact Kaycie Sabelhaus at 502.736.3853 or ksabelhaus@elderserveinc.org.

The program is funded by a grant from Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

Personal Nutrition Counseling

For adults 60+ our personal nutrition and wellness counselor will come to you to discuss healthy living options.  Topics can include: nutrition, meal planning, grocery shopping, physical fitness, weight loss, or other topics as needed.

For more information or to participate in the program please contact Kaycie Sabelhaus at 502.736.3853 or ksablehaus@elderserveinc.org.
