lady-comforting-senior ]Social workers also provide workshops, symposia and programs are provided throughout the county that engage older adults in building skills that will help them remain independent, i.e. budgeting, online banking, computer skills, emergency/disaster planning, fraud prevention, safety and crime prevention and aging-in-place technology. Group and community activities are offered to engage older adults in their community to make them feel connected and to provide opportunities for intergenerational interaction. Such activities may include informational sessions, tutoring, picnics, exercise, music, arts and crafts, trainings, etc.

This program offers case management services that address a variety of individual and family needs. Our Case Managers are sensitive and supportive and assist hundreds of older adults with issues ranging from housing to obtaining community and health services.

It also offers a variety of individual needs such as case management, linkage with community resources, help accessing benefits and help in building healthy family relationships.

  • finding appropriate housing
  • advocacy
  • assistance with food, utilities, financial programs
