Senior Center at Oak and Acorn

At the ElderServe Senior Center, located within the Oak and Acorn Intergenerational Center, older adults can receive information and participate in activities that will have a positive impact on their health and well-being.

The Senior Center is a Metro Nutrition site and is also a place where older adults can gather and simply have fun and enjoy each others’ company. The Oak and Acorn Community Room is a popular spot for activities and festive events.

Educational health offerings might include information about diabetes, cholesterol and medication management. Exercise classes include tai chi, arthritis exercise and yoga. Wellness checks include blood pressure, podiatry, vision and hearing screenings.

The unique Oak and Acorn Intergenerational Center is a partnership between ElderServe and Louisville Central Community Centers to provide a community center where older adults and young children can interact on a daily basis. The common hallways of the center are frequently filled with the laughter and energy of the youngsters who also can be seen playing in a glass-enclosed atrium in the center of the building.

The ElderServe Senior Center is located at 631 South 28th Street; for additional information, please call (502) 778-7418 or the following :
